The posters of a lady campaigning for a political post under Jubilee Party, Kenyan most popular political party, has been making the rounds on Kenyan’s social media.

Kenyan politicians are known for their unusual and mostly hilarious campaign posters, but this is being described as the most audacious and raunchiest ever seen in the land.

The pretty young lady is seen wearing hot pants on her poster and many young people are saying that it’s such a compelling and appealing campaign. Many are already saying that they will be voting her into the position of women’s rep which she is aspiring for.

A Kenyan shared his opinion

“In truth, perhaps I am swayed by her political disposition.. because I have an inclination towards such politics as opposed to capitalism or communism. I truly feel she has alot to offer our national politics. I would love to see her debate wherever many of these women’s reps debate.”

“Kenyan politicians do nothing anyway, we might aswell vote in one that ATLEAST looks good on camera.”

Is Airtel Exiting the Kenyan Market?

Airtel.com

Airtel Kenya seems to be in the process of exiting the Kenyan market if the current market structure in terms of market dominance is not addressed.

Airtel, which comes in second after its main competitor in the telecommunication industry, Safaricom has been fighting to sustain itself in the tough industry since its parent company, India Bharti Airtel took over from Zain in 2010.

Data from the Communications Authority of Kenya shows that as of June 2016, Airtel had a market share of 16.6 percent with 6.5 million subscribers on its network. This marked a decline of 200,000 customers in three months. Airtel’s subscriptions dropped from 6,722,412 in March 2016 to 6,588,825 as at the end of June 2016, as the operator relinquished 0.9 percent of its market share. Safaricom on the other hand ranked top with a 65.2 percent market share as its customers in the period grew 3.1 percent to 25.9 million.

The telecommunications firm on Friday sent home 100 of its staff, in what it termed a “strategic organizational restructuring to improve efficiency across function”, adding the redundancy to the 60 others that the telco laid off in January 2016.

Sources have disclosed that the firm has already started selling some of its assets including Airtel Money, Enterprises, customer service and sales and Distribution, which will be merged to operate as one. As if this is not enough, the company is also said to be in the process of abandoning its warehouses across the country including Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret, Mombasa and Nyeri. All it services will be offered from Nairobi. Airtel last year laid a good marketing strategy introducing Unliminet that targeted the growing data market and placed it high on the bar. It gained the firm New customers especially the youths. However, they disassembled the initial packages by slashing down it’s elements sending most of the acquired customers to drop it.

After Reading This You’ll Never Throw Away These Bags Again… uses of siliaca gels

Instead of leaving your razor around in the bath where it’s always wet put it in a plastic container with a few silica bags inside. It will make it last longer.

Pastor Arrested For Rubbing Olive Oil On Church Members Vagina and Clitoris

The founder and leader of Faith Word Church International at Nii Boi Town in Accra has been arrested by the police for allegedly rubbing Olive oil in the vagina and on the clitoris of his church member.

Pastor Edmond Kakrae Agyei, according to the Tesano police, claimed he was casting evil spirits that had possessed the victim by applying the oil in her private part.

After the act, the pastor allegedly attempted to rape the victim but she reportedly shouted for help and managed to escape.

Pastor Edmond Kakrae Agyei has provisionally been charged for indecent assault and breach of trust.

The Tesano Divisional Crime Officer, DSP Aba-Afari, who confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE, said the victim is an 18-year-old Senior High School graduate who fellowships with her parents in that church.

The pastor confided in the victim’s mother (named withheld) after church service on Sunday, August 28, 2016 that God had revealed to him through a vision that her daughter was possessed with an evil spirit.

He requested the woman to allow the girl come for deliverance service on Tuesday, August 30.

On that Tuesday, the mother of the victim asked her daughter to go for service but when the victim got to the church, the pastor requested that they go to his house for the said deliverance to be carried out and the victim obliged.

At his residence, the pastor allegedly asked the victim if she had ever accepted any love proposal from a man but she answered in the negative.

“Pastor Edmond Kakrae Agyei again asked the victim if she had experienced menstrual pains before and the victim answered in the affirmative,” DSP Aba-Afari narrated.

The police officer said the founder of the church then told the victim that the menstrual pains were the work of the devil and that he could deliver her by smearing anointing oil on her navel.

The pastor then ordered the victim to lie down and remove her dress while he rubbed the oil on her naval and parts of her abdomen.

The suspect further asked the victim to remove her pants and he rubbed the oil on the victim’s vagina and clitoris.

When the victim asked him to explain his actions, the pastor allegedly said he was being directed by the Holy Spirit to do so.

The 18-year-old victim resisted and attempted to stand up.

Pastor Agyei at that point grabbed the victim and forcefully kissed her and it was at that point that the victim raised an alarm for help.

The victim overpowered the pastor, came out of his room and reported the matter to her parents in the house.

A compliant was later lodged with the police which led to his arrest.

Samsung recalls Note 7 flagship over explosive batteries

Courtesy of BBC News

Samsung Electronics is recalling its flagship Galaxy Note 7 smartphone and said that battery problems were behind phones catching fire.

The decision follows reports in the US and South Korea of the phone “exploding” during or after charging.

The South Korean company said customers who had already bought the phone would be able to swap it for a new one.

Samsung said it had been difficult to work out which phones were affected among the 2.5 million Note 7s sold.

“There was a tiny problem in the manufacturing process, so it was very difficult to figure out,” the president of Samsung’s mobile business Koh Dong-jin told reporters.

“It will cost us so much it makes my heart ache. Nevertheless, the reason we made this decision is because what is most important is customer safety,” he said.

The firm said it would take about two weeks to prepare replacement devices.

According to Samsung, the phone has been launched in 10 countries so far but with different companies supplying the batteries.

The recall comes just one week ahead of an expected presentation of a new iPhone model from its main rival Apple.

What makes lithium batteries catch fire?

Analysis: Zoe Kleinman, BBC technology reporter

This is an extraordinary decision for a tech giant to make based on so few reported incidents – Samsung says it is aware of only 35 cases worldwide.

It’s bad timing so soon after a big product launch and especially given that Samsung’s rival Apple is understood to be preparing to unveil a new iPhone.

However, the firm says it has discovered a problem with the battery cell and is halting sales while it inspects its suppliers.

People who have already bought the device – which is only available to pre-order in the UK – will be issued with a replacement.

Stories about exploding smartphone batteries do make the news from time to time – lithium ion batteries are flammable but very widely used.

Reported ‘explosions’

Over the past few days, several users have reported their phones catching fire or exploding while charging, and Samsung said it had confirmed 35 such cases.

A YouTube user uploaded a video under the name

Ariel Gonzalez on 29 August of a Galaxy Note 7 with burnt rubber casing and damaged screen.

He said the handset “caught fire” shortly after he unplugged the official Samsung charger, less than a fortnight after purchasing it.

Further images of a burnt Galaxy Note 7 were uploaded to Kakao Story, a popular social media site in Korea, on 30 August.

A user wrote: “There was another explosion of the Galaxy Note 7. It was my friend’s phone. A Samsung employee checked the site and he is currently in talks over the compensation with Samsung. You should use its original charger just in case and leave the phone far away from where you are while charging.”

Flagship phone

The phone was only launched on 19 August and has since then been generally well-received by critics and consumers.

The Galaxy Note 7 model is the latest of Samsung’s series of so called phablets – smartphones with very large screens.

Samsung also added an iris scanner to the Note 7, which lets users unlock the phone by detecting patterns in the eyes.

In July, Samsung beat expectations with record earnings in the latest quarter with strong smartphone sales helping the firm post its best quarterly results in more than two years.

Samsung had predicted continued increase in demand for its smartphones and tablets in the second half of the year.
