‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Star Kim Richards Arrested After Acting ‘Belligerent’ at Beverly Hills Hotel

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was arrested early Thursday morning in Los Angeles, The Insider With Yahoo confirms.

According to officials, police were called to the Beverly Hills Hotel around 1:30 a.m. by security. Kim had been dining at the restaurant and refused to leave. She finally agreed, but requested to use the bathroom on her way out and then refused to come out. Richards, 50, was described as belligerent with slurred speech and reeking of alcohol.

Richards was “passively resisting officers” when Beverly Hills PD arrived on the scene. At the Beverly Hills Police Station, the former child actress was reportedly on the floor and started kicking an officer in the leg. She was arrested for public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest, and battery of a police officer. She was issued a citation for a misdemeanor and later released.

Kim’s sobriety was a major plot point during the most recent season of RHOBH. During the three-part reunion special, which concluded this week, she maintained that she had not relapsed — despite admitting to accidentally taking a pain pill prior to attending castmate Eileen Davidson’s poker party — and that her sobriety remained intact.

Back in 2011, Richards voluntarily checked into a rehab facility for the third time to address her issues with substance abuse.

“I’m an alcoholic,” Kim told Bravo’s Andy Cohen in post-rehab interview.  “I’m an alcoholic… I had so much guilt and shame for my behavior.. then I drank to cover the guilt and shame to make it go away.”

Richards appeared to be on the right track until this year, when cameras captured the loopy behavior she displayed during the infamous poker night fiasco.

Neither Kim nor her sister Kyle Richards has commented on the arrest. Their falling out was also documented this season and at the reunion, where nothing was resolved.
